Kraus Global Management Team


H. Norman Estey


President and CEO

Mr. Estey was appointed President and CEO by Kraus Global's Board of Directors in August 2003 after a national executive search.


Mr. Estey began his career as a Project Engineer with Imperial Oil Limited and held positions of increasing responsibility in Esso's Engineering, Distribution, Wholesale and Retail Departments. He later joined the Propane Division of Inter-City Gas as Director of Market Development. Advancing to the position of Marketing Vice President, he coordinated the Canada Government Competition Bureau's approval of Petro-Canada's 1990 acquisition and integration of ICG's propane business. Working for Petro-Canada, Mr. Estey was General Manager for their Retail Propane Division and then became Vice President of Supply and Operations. After Superior Propane purchased the Propane operations of Petro-Canada, Mr. Estey spent five years working in the United States, first for Independent Propane as Vice President of Operations, and then with Amerigas Propane Inc as Director of Business Process Improvement.


Mr. Estey graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a B. Sc. in Civil Engineering, and from the University of Western Ontario's Executive Management Program.


 




Penny Topolnitsky


Controller

Mrs. Penny Topolnitsky was appointed Controller of Kraus Global Inc. on December 1, 2009.


In 1987, Mrs. Topolnitsky began her employment with Kraus Industries, working as the Controller - 2IC . Mrs. Topolnitsky was promoted to Executive Assistant in 1994 where she utilized her experience with strategic planning and project management to assist the President and Managing Director. Mrs. Topolnitsky returned to the department as Finance & Administration Manager in 2007 and later the Director of Change Management in 2008 where she remained until she assumed her current role.


Mrs. Topolnitsky graduated with Honors from Business Accountancy at Red River College, and later obtained her Mid-management Program certificate from the University of Manitoba. She is currently enrolled in the CGA Program.


 




Scott Bailey, P.Eng. CMA MBA


Vice President Sales & Product Development

Mr. Scott Bailey was appointed Vice President Sales & Product Development in August 2004.


In 1997, Mr. Bailey began his employment with Kraus Group as a Mechanical Designer where he became proficient in the design of CNG refueling stations and equipment. After a series of project leader and supervisory positions, Mr. Bailey was promoted to Engineering Manager in 2001 and later Vice President Product Development in 2002 where he remained until he assumed his current role.


Mr. Bailey graduated from the University of Manitoba with a B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and later obtained both his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation and Executive MBA degree from the Queen's School of Business in Kingston, Ontario. Mr. Bailey is also a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Manitoba.


 




Chris Damiani, P.Eng. MBA.


Vice President Business Development

Mr. Damiani was appointed Vice President, New Business Development in September, 2009.


Mr. Damiani began his career in 1995 with Unisys Canada in the Manufacturing Engineering department. In 1997, Mr. Damiani began work at Phillips & Temro Industries, and in 2001, he joined Kraus as a Mechanical Designer. Mr. Damiani assumed various roles of increasing importance at Kraus before becoming Vice President New Business Development, including responsibility for the North American CNG market (2004), Business and Product Development Manager (2005), and Vice President Product Development (2007).


Mr. Damiani obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (1995), and an M.B.A with a major in Finance (2004), both from the University of Manitoba. Mr. Damiani is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Manitoba.


Mr. Damiani is a member of the Manitoba Hydrogen Steering Committee, and was the Chair of the Executive Steering Committee of the Red River Valley Clean Cities Coalition from 2006-2009. He is a member of the interface working group of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) fuel cell standards committee, and CSA America's HGV4.3 (Temperature Compensation) standards committee.


 




Manoli Mandilaras, P.Eng. MBA


Vice President Operations

Mr. Manny Mandilaras was appointed Vice President Operations in October, 2006.


Mr. Mandilaras started his career with KGS Group in 1996 as a junior designer. He became a Design Engineer-in-Training at E.H. Price in 1999 and moved to Kraus Group in 2000, as a design engineer. Between 2000 and February 2003, Mr. Mandilaras held the positions of Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Production Planner and Manufacturing Engineering Co-Supervisor. In May 2003, Mr. Mandilaras became the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor and in early 2004, Mr. Mandilaras became the Product Manager for the Alternative Fuel Systems Cell. In October of 2004, Mr. Mandilaras was promoted to Product Manager for all Kraus Global product lines and in December of 2004 Mr. Mandilaras briefly assumed the role of Operations Manager before being promoted to his current position as Vice President, Operations.


Mr. Mandilaras obtained his Bachelor of Science with a major in Mechanical Engineering in 1996 and his professional engineering designation in 2001. Mr. Mandilaras graduated from the MBA program in 2005.
